Howe Sound Crest Trail

Yesterday I took Howe Sound crest trail from the parking lot on Cypress to St Mark's summit and both peaks on Unecessary mountain. The first picture is the view from St Mark's summit.

I was hoping to make it to the Lions as I've never done them from this route before. I've done them from Lions bay which they say is shorter but steeper. The beginning of the trail is well groomed and the first two switchbacks up St Mark's summit look just like the trail up Baker called the Heliotrope trail. However after the first two switchbacks the trail gets fairly rugged pretty fast. Lots of rocks and roots. They are working on improving the trail with bobcats but that's a big job so it is.

Just as I hit Unecessary mountain the fog started to roll in covering the lions. In this picture you can just barely see the tip of the west lion with the east lion being completely hidden by fog.

The wind was coming from the ocean so I thought luck was on my side and it would blow the fog away. In reality, withing two minutes the wind brought fog from the ocean and the entire panorama was zero visibility. This is a direct view of the Lions from the north peak of Unecessary mountain:

Not much to see but when the clouds aren't there it's spectacular. Turning to the left this is the view of Lions bay. Again when the clouds aren't the view is spectacular.

I finally found the trail down from Unecessary mountain to the back of the lions. It's a short steep descent but with the lions in sight you're almost there. If you see a rope anchored to the rocks you're on the right trail. Kinda like how they have a chain riveted to the rocks to help climb on Goat mountain and the back of the Chief.

I was somewhat disappointed to make it so close to the lions and have to turn back defeated. The lions are without question the crown jewel of Vancouver. As I was descending there were several groups that were determined to pass the Lions in their journey despite the fog. One group of backpackers were heading to Deeks lake while two groups of runners were going all the way to Porteau cove. That is a long way.

For me the Lions is the primary quest. If you go too early in the summer there's still lots of snow to cross. If you go mid summer in the heat, you'll need more water and since there is no fresh water en route you have to carry it which significantly adds to the load. Now is the best time of year to do them. Not too hot and the trail is bare of snow finally. Yet like always on the coastal mountains the visibility is hit and miss.

This is an old youtube video I made of the Bruce Cockburn song Wondering Where The Lions Are. It has pictures around Vancouver including a close up of the lions when I hiked them from Lions bay. Yesterday as I stood at their foot looking straight at them hidden in dense fog that song Wondering Where The Lions Are came to mind. Of course it's also metaphorical. Wondering where the lions are can also mean the lions of Judah willing to stand against crime and corruption in defense of civil liberty. But then again people say I'm too metaphorical. This is a picture of the Lions from Hollyburn ridge on Cypress. They are the crown jewel of Vancouver.

Hells Angels kicked out of Lethbridge

The Lethbridge Herald is reporting that the Alberta Gang Task Force (ALRT) notified hotels and a catering company that the Hells Angels had booked their services under an alias for a weekend gathering that it was in fact for the Hells Angels. The hotels and local businesses were not aware it was for the Hells Angels and cancelled their booking.

Law-enforcement officials also called local bars to alert them of the possible presence of Hells Angels members in their establishments, and told them under legislation in the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Act, police could eject the gang members from their businesses. In fact, Tucker added patrons who are even wearing Hells Angels gear, or items related to another gang, can be ejected from bars by police.

This was a huge success and an example of how effective policing can be proactive at stopping problems before they happen. An once of prevention is indeed worth a pound of cure. This is exactly what Bob Deasy talked about in his book Being Uncle Charlie explaining how the Biker Enforcement Unit in Ontario was so effective at confronting the plague we face here in BC. This is the exact same department that Christy Clark and the BC Liberals has just cut funding for in BC.

The Calgary Sun ran an article with a picture of Calgary Hells Angel Kyle Kirkland aka Moose complaining about the whole thing. You will notice he's wearing a Mission city support shirt.

Mission city chapter is here in the Lower mainland. A full patch member and an associate from the Mission chapter as well as a member and associate from the Haney chapter were arrested in Spain after 500 kilos of cocaine were seized. In Spain the Hells Angles have been charged with human trafficking and convicted of murder.

The Calgary Sun article even quotes "Randal" who claims the police are overstepping their bounds. I beg to differ. In fact, my next post will be an exhibit listing some of the criminal cases that involve the Hells Angels in Canada supporting their BC application to seize their clubhouses under criminal organization legislation. Randy's pals in the Calgary chapter were found in possession of stolen cars from the Kelowna Hells Angels stolen car, boat and bike ring. The Calgary Hells Angels and associate Zenon Stepkowski were also involved with the Vernon Greeks.

Lester Jones was convicted of drug trafficking tied to three chapters of the Hells Angels. He was the former vice president of the Kelowna chapter drug trafficking in Winnipeg. The police agent bought two kilos of cocaine off Lester in Calgary and left $72,000 in cash for the drugs at the Calgary clubhouse.

In 2001 the Calgary police seized 11 kilograms of cocaine along with several firearms including a machine gun from the Calgary Hells Angels clubhouse. That's grounds to seize the clubhouse right there. Need we mention Kenny's ties to investment fraud and extortion? Nobody likes a liar.

Hells Angels Criminal Organization Case

As we know the police and the government have seized the Nanaimo Hells Angels clubhouse and have applied to the courts to seize the Kelowna clubhouse under criminal organization legislation. Recently the court directed the crown to provide a list of specific cases where the Hells Angels have in fact been involved in criminals activity. That is a simple and reasonable request. Although the number of cases is exhausting, I put together a pdf file listing a few off the top of my head. When you start to connect the dots and do the math it's pretty overwhelming.

Since I realize police officers read my blog as well as gang members, please forward a copy of the pdf file to the Crown counsel in support of their application to seize the clubhouses. I have much more to say on the matter but it has taken me longer than I thought to put the list together and I wanted to get it online so it can be forwarded to assist the lawyers in that case. Cheers.

Already this list is incomplete. I forgot to put in the Lester Jones conviction which is highly relevant to the seizure of the Kelowna clubhouse. He was the vice president of the Kelowna Hells Angels and was convicted of cocaine trafficking. After he's busted, David Giles, the next Kelowna vice president also gets arrested for cocaine trafficking. That's a pattern.

The first BC Criminal Organization Conviction was in Kelowna. Thomas Donald Fraser and Jason Jonathon Herrick were convicted of trafficking cocaine on behalf of a criminal organization. 6 kilos of cocaine and 400 ecstasy tablets were seized. Only the criminal organization wasn't named. Yet in one of the intercepted phone calls between the two men, Fraser phones Herrick and orders him to “bring some s**t” to “the clubhouse.” With loud music in the background, Fraser tells him the address is 837 Ellis Street, the property known locally as the Hells Angels clubhouse. “Bring lots,” Fraser said. “A quarter.”

A former Kingpin Crew member charged with drug trafficking but that was a pretty insignificant bust. Joey Verma on the other hand was doing some pretty high level drug trafficking even while in prison. We all know who he was associated with. Darryl Wilcox was charged with selling 18 kilos of cocaine. He was a Hells Angels associate. We didn't even mention uncle Joe racing through Salmon arm with a car load of guns and a cell phone jammer right before that local grow was abandoned. That's more criminal activity for ya out of the Kelowna clubhouse. Ryan Ennis, one of the guys with uncle Joe moved into Darryl Wilcox's house while he was in jail. I'd say that's a confirmed association.

That's the problem with compiling a list of criminal activity the Hells Angels have been involved with. It goes on forever. I didn't even mention the multitude of drug trafficking arrests tied to the Hells Angels in Edmonton and Fort McMurray. I had to stop somewhere. You get then idea. Claiming the Hells Angels aren't a criminal organization at this point is offensive. Dustin Zimmerman was an associate of Cliff Montgomery. Cliff was an associate of Glen Hehn.

Another Asteroid misses the Earth

The Vancouver Province is reporting that a newly discovered asteroid with have a near miss with the earth on Sunday. Of course it will pass far away but it will be within 1/4 of the moon's orbit. To me, that's pretty close. Evidently this happens all the time. May 10th it just happened as well. That flyby marked the third-closest asteroid near miss of 2014. Turns out Sunday's near miss will be even closer. More like one tenth the moons orbit.

Evidently this happens so often they refer to them as NEA: Near-Earth Asteroids. In 2013 one passed by and made headlines when "reports said that there's a chance it could strike our planet in less than 20 years. Such a collision could unleash a force as powerful as a couple of thousand atomic bombs." This one is called NEA 2014 RC and is nicknamed Pitbull. "To understand the future, you have to understand the past." Word.

Every time we have a meteor shower the earth is bombarded with objects. Most burn up in the earth's atmosphere. We know from the craters on the moon, the moon is hit with stellar objects on a regular basis. One has to wonder if the moon ever gets hit with an object large enough could that effect it's orbit around the earth? One also has to wonder if the earth has ever been hit by a large object, what kind of impact that had on the earth's orbit or climate. Scientists claim this is what might have taken out the dinosaurs in the past. I'm wondering if a NEA passes by earth this close, does the earth's gravitational field change it's current trajectory? Prism - Armageddon.

In Defense of Jennifer Aniston

I really don't give a rat's ass about celebrity gossip. I noticed an article the Vancouver Province reprinted from the Daily Telegraph and had to mention it. The article states:

"Jennifer Aniston has a new movie, a new look and an old problem. The film - Life of Crime - has been well reviewed, and the style mags have praised the straight-cut hairdo she showed off at the premiere, but no one cares about that any more, because Brad Pitt, the actor who dumped Jen nine years ago, has married the woman he left her for, Angelina Jolie." Holy toxic cesspools.

She had a relationship break down nine years ago. This journalist is the guy that needs to get over it, not her. This is the British paparazzi trying to stir up toxic waste to sell newspapers. That's actually quite shameful. Makes us think of British Tabloids and the Murdoch wiretapping scandal. They're even freaking stalking her on a private jet. That's just creepy.

Local reporters for the Vancouver Province on the other hand referred to her as the diva in white. "The film - Life of Crime - has been well reviewed." That's all that needs to be said.

Loving the Lions

I went back for round two yesterday and hiked the Lions from Cypress. What a difference a day makes. Yesterday their was no wondering where the lions are. It was sunny and they were clearly in sight. Last Saturday they were completely hidden with zero visibility.

I made it to the top of the bump between the two heads of the lions.

If you follow the orange dots spray painted on the rocks, the Howe Sound Crest Trail will take you around the west lion to the middle of the two peaks and then on beyond them.

I think the trail up the west lion breaks off right before this. I didn't find it until my way back and by that time had lost my steam in the heat. Many younger kids tried it but turned back. It's pretty technical. I.E. dangerous. The key thing is you have to follow the marked trail. If you just plan on making you're own trail you're going to get into trouble fast.

On the way back one girl was commenting on how unprepared many of the people there were who hiked it from lion's bay. She said one guy say wow, I'm really dehydrated. Good thing I brought this beer with me. Yeah good thing buddy she said. On a hike like this you need lots of water. Especially if it's sunny. Two 2 liter pop bottles filled one third with water and frozen over night then topped up right before you leaver is best. Plus Gatorade and juice boxes and food to eat. These yahoos that go unprepared are the ones search and rescue end up having to go look for.

I've always wondered what it looks like on the other side of the lions. This trail that keeps on going all the way to Porteau people keep talking about. Well here it is:

This is the view of the east lion from the top of the bump in between the peaks. You can see the Capilano reservoir on the bottom right in the distance.

The Cleavland dam has served Vancouver well for many years. Hydroelectric dams are a lot better than nuclear reactors. They are clean and productive. They create a beautiful lake just like the Seymour reservoir, Alouette lake or Stave lake. The draw back is salmon spawning. You can see the fish ladder they put in to fix that at the base of the Cleveland dam.

It never ceased to amaze me that with all the scientific technology of nuclear reactors, they split the atom simply to generate heat that turns a steam turbine just like a hydro electric dam does. Only the dam doesn't create toxic waste you can't dispose of and create huge public hazards to everything around it. Anyways, right now I'm loving the lions.

There's no way I'd cross the side of the west lion in winter. There would be no ledge at all with snow on it. Now is the best time of year to climb them. Not too hot and the snow pack has melted. Just be careful and be prepared. Bring lots of water. In contrast, the beginning of summer is the best time to climb the glacier on Mount Baker. While the crevasses are full of snow before they open up and turning into giant hazards. Peace.

Journalist beheading video is surreal

$

There has been a lot of things in the news lately distracting us from the fact that Obama is in contempt of court for not obeying the court order to release the Fast and Furious documents he has been hiding under executive privileged. The most dramatic of which is the video where terrorists claim to behead a journalist.

I'm certainly not going to jump the gun and say every terrorist act is fake or a false flag attack. I will say that my first impression on hearing about the video is that those people are either stupid or it's fake. Think about it. Everyone knows that acts of terrorism enrage the public. As soon as an act of terrorism occurs, what are normally good, God fearing, tolerant people instantly become unglued and say nuke them. After 9/11 Afghanistan was invaded. Clearly terrorists are not the brightest of criminal out there but even they must have some concern about the public perception of their cause. Committing an act of terrorism does not win public support. It inflames it.

Even worse is a brutal act against a journalist. Normally extremists are trying to win over the media to get them to report their side in a positive light. Kidnapping and executing a journalist crosses the line. It's like shooting a peace keeper or a red cross worker. The video claims that if you don't stop bombing us we will keep killing more journalists and innocent civilians. Anyone with a brain knows that is going to create the opposite effect and convince the public to nuke them. That is why I say these terrorists have to either be stupid or the video is fake.

Another bizarre aspect to the video is the fact that it's supposedly made by terrorists in Syria. Syria? Really? One minute we're all in an uproar because the Syrian government used chemical weapons that the west sold him on civilians and want to help the rebels bring him down. Now, as soon as we hear the rebels that we supported in Libya and were prepared to support in Syria are Islamic extremists, now the Syrian government can kill as many civilians as they want and that's all of a sudden OK and we are going to send in troops to wipe out his opposition. This is getting more bizarre by the minute.

Obviously some people think the video is fake. The Epoch Times is reporting that Alex Jones from Infowars has raised some interesting concerns about the legitimacy of the video. People can scoff at Alex Jones all they want. He did raise some very legitimate points in the attack on the USS Liberty and he most certainly didn't make that up.

MSN New reported that Israel confirmed that slain American journalist Steven Sotloff was also an Israeli citizen. Are you kidding me? What on earth is a Jewish American journalist that has Israeli citizenship doing in Syria? If that isn't suspect, I don't know what is.

We know that the CIA has crossed that forbidden line in the past many times before. They have used agents with the false cover of journalists. Crossing that line destroys the credibility of the journalist and put the safety of every other legitimate journalist at risk. Consequently, Sotloff's connections to Mossad are very suspect indeed.

Just to recap on a couple things that we do know, we know that Iraq was invaded based on a lie. They had no WMD and the intelligence community knew that. Operation Mass Appeal was an MI 6 operation that sent out press releases to the media with false information having the sole intent to deceive the public.

We know that back in 2005, two British soldiers went undercover and were caught driving a civilian car loaded with weapons dressed as Arabs. They insisted they were on a secret mission and instead of telling the police at the check point what their mission was, they opened fire on them which resulted in them getting imprisoned. Instead of telling the allied forces in Iraq what their mission was, England destroyed the prison and broke them out without a trial.

What we need to ask is how far will operation mass appeal go? How far will operation Northwoods go? Further than the USS Liberty? We need to remember that Obama is in contempt of court for not disclosing the Fast and Furious documents and not be distracted from that fact.

Fake cell phone towers can intercept calls and read texts

Two blog readers sent in this story that has been covered by various media outlets. MSN News is reporting that mysterious fake cellphone towers found across US appear to be connecting to nearby phones and either tapping calls or reading texts. Info Wars is covering it as well.

It appears to originate with a Popular Science article on the matter. The Blaze is reporting that they might not be actually towers either. We all know that the NSA is spying on Americans illegally and that Stephen Harper has created the CSEC to break the Charter of Rights and spy on Canadians. This is just another example of how out of control big brother is on our own home soil. You can't protect civil liberty by doing away with it. Edward Snowdon is a hero.

Mission Drug Lab run by Motorcycle Gang

CBC is reporting that Mission RCMP spent all day Monday pulling evidence and material from a massive illegal drug lab in the 7100 block of Horne Street which investigators believe was run by a motorcycle gang. Gee I wonder which one. Since there are no Outlaws or Rock Machine in the lower mainland that leaves us with the Hells Angels. Just like how long time Surrey crystal meth cook Kerry Ryan Renaud was working for John Punko and the Hells Angels.

"A police source close to the investigation says this might just be the biggest drug lab ever found in B.C with commercial mixers and 200-litre drums producing millions of dollars worth of drugs per week and housing enough chemicals to level a city block. The lab was only discovered when a chemical reaction went bad Saturday just before noon. Four to five people were seen running from the subsequent fire. When the Mission Fire Department saw what it was dealing with, it called the RCMP."

Kevin Hackett's bogus report

$
0

Sadly the Vancouver Province and the Vancouver Sun are both reporting on Kevin Hackett's bogus report claiming gang crime is on the decline. I wish it was. Although the peak of the Vancouver gang war was in 2009, last year the City of Surrey saw the highest number of homicides in one fiscal year ever. Most of those were drug related. The current peak in violent crime in Newton and Whalley is drug related. The horrific drug related violence in the DTES is also drug related. The sale of drugs in British Columbia is clearly gang related.

This obvious media spin is a poor attempt to rationalize Christy Clark's massive budget cuts to the Gang Task force and the elimination of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Unit. That was a corrupt act. Just like eliminating the RCMP task force in charge of investigating money laundering at casinos right after they issued a report about how bad it was in BC. If they want to save money maybe we should contract out our gang task force to Alberta. They seem to be on the ball. I guess if we did that Christy Clark would have to fire them for doing such a good job.

Doug McCallum launches Safe Surrey Coalition

In contrast to Dianne Watts and Christy Clark's crime denial program, Thor has just launched his Safe Surrey Coalition announcing a slate of counselors running with him. They are from both political backgrounds so it looks like he's trying to put together a non partisan coalition.

Looks like we have three options for mayor: Linda Hepner from Surrey's Worst, Barinder Rasode, kicked out of Surrey's worst for admitting they haven't done enough on crime in Newton and former mayor Dough McCallum who got things done before the Dianne Watts deception.

I cannot support Linda Hepner. That would be a step backwards. We have seen through the Diane Watts deception. Drug related crime in Whalley and Newton continues unchecked. The residents complain, nothing happens and people get killed. Over and over again.

I cannot support Barinder Rasode. She railroaded the Sikh community on the Gateway casino proposal. Her close ties with Bob Cheema destroys any credibility she hoped to have. Doug McCallum has my vote.

I care about crime in Surrey. I care about what happened to Janice Shore outside the Front Room. When Doug McCallum was mayor he closed crack houses in Surrey and evicted them onto the street. I saw it. He's the only one wiling to take it to the next level and confront the crack dealers in Newton and outside the Front Room so business can boom once again in Surrey.

He wants to spend money on more police on the street. Where does he plan on getting it from? Not from Surrey's Worst tax and spend model. He spoke out against the new ivory tower city hall. If he goes back to the old city hall he will have plenty of money for more police without raising taxes. If he refrains from extravagant trips that Linda Hepner and Barinder Rasode kept taking he will save more money and balance the worst budget in the city's history. Not to mention the most homicides in one fiscal year ever when crime elsewhere in BC is supposed to be declining.

My only concern is his attendance at Rich Coleman's barbeque. I understand the idea behind being nonpartisan but Rich Coleman is an anti Christ. He demanded Watts railroad the Gateway casino project despite the local opposition to it. He got rid of the RCMP task force that investigated money laundering at casinos. He is as dirty as they come.

My opposition to the Gateway casino isn't just because of the social ramifications of gambling and the money laundering that goes on in them. Gateway casino specifically went through a huge debt restructure. They lost $1.5 billion. Gateway casino is a bad investment. I'd like to know Doug McCallum's position on that casino before he gets elected. We know Hepner and Rasode support it. That takes them off the list right away. Some say none of the above. I can't support that. That's like not voting in an election. That's how people like Hitler get elected. It's just not responsible.

Whalley Legion Under Siege

$

Contrary the the Christy Clark Diane Watts crime denial program, the Vancouver Sun and the Surrey Now both recently reported that the Whalley Legion is under siege from drug related crime and the city won't do anything about it.

"People are defecating outside our front door, hiding needles everywhere and urinating on our stairs and on our cadet hall,' says a Legion spokesman." Hiding needles everywhere? Why that's right by the needle exchange. A needle exchange is supposed to be an exchange. You hand in an old dirty needle and get a new clean one. Instead they just hand out needles and the addicts throw them everywhere. That is a health hazard.

The same problem happened in Victoria. Residents were complaining about needles being thrown everywhere after the city changed it's policy and just started handing out free needles instead of exchanging old ones. As a result, addicts have absolutely no incentive to properly dispose of their needles. Why the city will simply give them a new one. That is messed up.

For the record, this is the area right beside the Front room that we've been talking about all this time. Homelessness isn't the problem, illegal drugs is. Here we have the Legion complain to the city about drug related crime and the city responds by saying there is nothing we can do. Yes there is. You can arrest the crack dealers and move the needle exchange after you return it to being an exchange instead of a free needle throw them wherever you want free for all. I'm not saying kick the cat. I'm not saying harass the homeless. I'm saying harass the crack dealers. They are the predators causing the problem.

"It's been an escalation for the past three weeks, more people are being directed to our area," said Reid. More people are coming because word has gotten out they let you sell and smoke crack there. Stop the ridiculous policy and you will see a huge reduction in crime.

Reexamining 9/11

$

Since 9/11 is still being used as a pretext for war and to rationalize doing away with civil liberty we clearly need to reexamine just what really did happen on that horrific day. The third tower fell when no planes hit it. Three towers fell on September 11th not two. No planes hit the third tower. It collapsed into it's own blueprint at freefall speed just like a controlled demolition. The official version claimed that building collapsed at freefall speed due to heat and fire. That is not possible. The only way that can happen is if the load bearing beams are blown out like a controlled demolition. That is what experts in the field are saying.

The Twin towers also fell at freefall speed into it's own blueprint just like a controlled demolition. There was no resistance. It wasn't a matter of the floor where the plane hit collapsed and put pressure on the floor beneath it which put pressure on the floor beneath it and so on. That would have taken time. This was freefall like dropping an apple off the top of a building. The only way that can happen is if the load bearing beams are blown out.

Consequently, George Bush changed his tune. He later admitted operatives placed explosives in the building that went off after the plane hit it. Indeed they did. The load bearing beams were blown out. That would explain the thermite residue, the molten cars found at the base of the towers and the molten metal found in the ruble long after the building's colapse.

No conspiracy theorist made up Operation Northwoods. That declassified operation was real. It was proposed by the director of the CIA and signed by the joint chiefs of Staff. If Kennedy hadn't vetoed it, they would have implemented that sinister plot. Operation Northwoods needs to be examined and discussed because they implemented it on the USS Liberty. That was treason.

Fast and Furious Front and Centre

$

0

What we need to do now is put Operation Fast and Furious Front and Centre. Before we run off and start another war, we need to remember that Obama is in contempt of court for failing to unseal all of the documents related to the Fast and Furious cover up. That is what we need to remember right now.

The court told Nixon he was not allowed to hide the Watergate scandal under executive privilege. What would have happened if instead of obeying that court order Nixon started another war instead? Do you think the people would have let him disobey that court order? I think not. So what makes us so apathetic in our day? Times have changed alright. We are a lot more gullible now. We stand idly by as they trample the sacred Constitution they swore an oath to defend.

In 2012, Eric Holder, Obama's Attorney General, was found in contempt of Congress. Two weeks later the Department of Justice unsealed one of the many Fast and Furious documents related to the death of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry who was killed by guns the ATF sold the Mexican cartel. As a result of releasing the document, five people were charged in Brian Terry's death.

So lets' do the math. If you or I help a murderer escape justice, that is a criminal offense. We are guilty of aiding a felon. That is exactly what Barack Obama and Eric Holder are guilty of. They hid a court indictment. Then came the nonpartisan spin. Senator Grassley said he was glad to see documents unsealed in the Fast and Furious case. “They’ve offered $1-million for (information) leading to who murdered Brian Terry.” That is an offensive joke.

In Operation Fast and Furious the ATF were selling the Mexican cartel guns and bringing back tons of cocaine as payment. The culpability for Brian Terry's murder does not fall upon five scapegoats. It falls on whoever the ATF were working for - the Agency. In fact, the CIA Orchestrated Operation Fast and Furious.

According to court transcripts, Jesus Vicente Zambada Niebla was allowed to import “multi-ton quantities of cocaine” into the U.S. as a result of his working relationship with the FBI, Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Drug Enforcement Administration.”

Judicial Watch sued the Department of Justice under the Freedom of Information act because Obama had sealed all the documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal under executive privilege. July 2014 the Judge Ordered the DOJ to Release Fast and Furious documents.

In this decision the court has ordered they provide the Vaughn index which must: (1) identify each document withheld; (2) state the statutory exemption claimed; and (3) explain how disclosure would damage the interests protected by the claimed exemption. So technically they cloud still withhold documents but they must name them and give concrete reasons why disclosure should apply to executive privilege which would require one more step of court argument.

Executive Privilege is not mentioned in the Constitution. It has historically been considered to be a right implied by the constitutional principal of separation of powers between the three branches of government. Criminal activity may not be withheld from the public under executive privilege. Selling the Mexican cartel guns and bringing back tons of cocaine as payment is criminals activity and executive privilege does not apply. What does apply is Obama's culpability by hiding those crimes from the public and preventing those involved from being tried in a court of law.

Michael Stipe: Nationalism vs Patriotism

Former Rem frontman Michael Stipe marked the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Thursday (11Sep14) by offering up his 'state of the America' thoughts in an essay published by The Guardian newspaper. It was also mentioned in the Rolling Stone magazine.

In the article Michael Stipe states: "The Freedom Tower was meant to inspire patriotism and instead embodies the darker sides of nationalism." Nationalism? Why that sounds a lot like Hitler's Germany during the war. How did Hitler con the German people? Wait 'till I tell ye. He burned down the German parliament and blamed in on terrorists. That's how he convinced parliament to give him the powers of a chancellor just like Senator Palpatine in the Star Wars saga.

Once Hitler became chancellor he bombed a German radio station and blamed it on Poland to justify an invasion. Sound familiar? Just like Pittbull said in the Men in Black 3 theme song, to understand the future you have to understand the past. To understand Fast and Furious we need to understand Mena, Arkansas and Iran contra.

Jesus Niebla CIA fall guy just like Manuel Noriega.

Is Bob Cheema trying to buy Doug McCallum?

$

Déjà vu. Remember how Goldman Sachs became Obama's largest campaign contributor? In return Obama gave them 20 million in tax dollars. Not a bad investment. Well it looks like Bob Cheema is hedging his bets and is trying to buy Doug McCallum. Everywhere Doug McCallum goes these days Bob Cheema is not far behind. No wonder Rich Coleman is so happy.

Bob Cheema is the dirty developer involved with the controversial Gateway casino project in South Surrey. Just like the Campbell Heights Industrial scam, he was wanting City Hall to flip agricultural land into industrial so he could make a fortune building a casino there. A casino that just went through a $1.5 billion debt restructure.

Barnider Rapsode and Linda Hepner received "gifts" from Bob Cheema which bought their vote on the Gateway casino project despite such overwhelming local opposition to it. Guru Nanak Sikh Temple on Scott Road deplored the stand taken by Barinder Rasode and Linda Hepner on the Gateway casino. Since Doug McCallum is making promises to the Sikh community we need to ask him and each of the candidates what their position on the Gateway casino is before they are elected. Since it was such a controversial project with overwhelming voter turn out it behooves the media to ask each candidate in this election just what their position on the Gateway casino is.

Crime reduction is a good thing but solving the problem takes more than throwing it some money. It involves a change in policy. Instead of running around putting out fires by arresting drug addicts who steal to support their addiction, start arresting the crack dealers that give the homeless and mentally ill free crack then beat the life out of them for payment. Arrest the crack dealers and you will prevent a huge amount of violent crime.

The first thing we need to do is balance the budget Surrey's worst destroyed. Selling the new city hall and going back to the old one is the first step. Stopping all those extravagant trips on tax dollars is the next. Then comes getting rid of the conflicted Development corporation. So far it appears that Doug McCallum supports those three steps while Linda Hepner and Barinder Rasode don't. Then we have to change the policy and start mandating the police to arrest the crack dealers not the addicts in Newton and outside the Front Room in Whalley.

After that transformation is complete and Surrey is finally saved from the brink of destruction we need to oppose the Gateway casino bid especially in agricultural land to benefit campaign contributors. To accomplish this we need to compile a list of counselors who will support each one of these important steps which will prevent Mayor McCallum form giving Bob Cheema a sweetheart deal. After all the Mayor only has one vote and counsel holds the balance of power on that casino bid. Listen to what this concerned citizen had to say at the public meeting along with her two friends. It is heartwarming to say the least. We should elect them to city council.

Estevan police seize date-rape drug

Newstalk 980 is reporting that Estevan police in southeast Saskatchewan seized enough ingredients to produce about 2,000 doses of GHB. Brian Miles, 30, of Estevan is facing charges of importing a controlled substance, producing an illegal substance, and possession of cannabis.

Ladouceur says the seizure has raised the community's awareness about GHB. "There's only one place an unattended drink belongs and that's down the drain. We can't stress that enough. We check our kids Halloween candy when they come home for safety and it should be no different - if you're leaving something out in the open, you don't know what is going into the beverage."

Looks like they're starting to develop some drink testers, electronic and disposable. I don't know how accurate they are but it's worth looking into. This is become a common problem.

MSN News is reporting that two Canadian-Vietnamese dual citizens have been charged with smuggling heroin and methamphetamine into Sydney Australia. 88 kilograms of heroin and 21 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized that were hidden in frozen fish fillets. The names of the suspects have not yet been released.

The Vietnamese are likely one of the only groups that don't work for the Hells Angels in BC. The Hells Angels in Victoria tried to tax the Vietnamese grows. They said no and Edward "Zeke" Mickle went missing. Rumours describe his brutal murder. So every year the Hells Angels have an annual run cerebrating their criminal organization status remembering that Zeke was murdered for trying to tax a rival drug dealer.

The Summit of Golden Ears

I made it to the summit of Golden Ears Sunday. It was awesome. Golden Ears is like the Lions of Maple Ridge. Two peaks side by side, next to Alouette mountain. It's normally an overnight hike but if you book it and start first thing in the morning you can make it in a day. Be mindful that the sun sets earlier now that fall is approaching. I had a later start and really had to book it to get back just as it was getting dark. A few other groups ended up coming back in the dark.

Alder flats was nice but rather anticlimactic. At 10 K you hit alpine and get an amazing view of the other side of Pitt Lake. I've seen photos of Pitt Lake from airplanes and was wondering where you can see it from hiking. This is the place. From the Summit you can see the entire lake.

Pitt Lake is tidal. When the tide in the ocean is out, the Fraser river water level drops and it exposes the sand bars at the front of the lake. This is one of the best hikes in the Lower mainland. Similar to the lions but in my opinion better because you can water up right before the summit.

Sadly another hiker fell to his death on Sky Pilot Saturday. Sky Pilot is a new peak that has become more accessible since they built the new gondola at the Chief in Squamish. It's the second time this year. I'm not sure if they're climbing glaciers without crampons or what. The Vancouver Province posted a video of the climb and it looks like hard core rock climbing to the summit and the guy isn't roped up. That is not very wise or safe.
