Garibaldi Lake

I hiked up to Garibaldi Lake today hoping to camp overnight but the campsites were all full and they dont allow back country camping. Other places do but they have a ranger station on site checking everyone. This is the same trail that takes you up Black Tusk but I didn't make it that far.

The ride home was a bit of a zen moment for me. The setting sun turn the horizon orange behind the islands in the water along the coast. It reminded me of watching the sun set at Whitecliff when I was a kid. It made me feel like I belong. Kinda at one with nature so to speak. I'm not very religious any more but I can feel the presence of God in nature.

Mother Teresa would ask us if we could see the face of God in those who suffer. She could. That's because she was the pure in heart so to speak. Makes us wonder if we can see the face of God in those we rip off in the gang world. Probably not. Yet. One day perhaps.
